About Us

Score Valley… what can we say? Just on the outskirts of Ilfracombe, hidden away behind trees and foliage, is one of the town’s best kept secrets. Score Valley Country House has up until recently operated as a warm and inviting guest house.

Now, we are widening our horizons and throwing our doors open to local and visiting people looking for something special, exclusive, and unique.

Abraham’s Barn

A beautifully restored rustic barn nestled in our summer meadow—perfect for intimate weddings and gatherings of up to 40, surrounded by stone walls, wildflowers, and natural charm.

Isaac’s Bar / Jacob’s Table

Inside the country house, these cosy spaces are ideal for private dining, drinks by the fire, or small celebrations with character, comfort, and style.

Eden & Elijah’s Firepit

Picnic, toast marshmallows, or watch the flames dance beside the stream. A magical garden escape for laid-back evenings and earthy, firelit moments.

  • You’re welcome to bring in your own catering, or let our onsite chef create something bespoke for your event. We also offer sample menus and drinks packages.

  • Yes! We have cosy rooms available and the option to add a night in our stargazing tent or pitch your own. Just mention accommodation when booking.

  • Each space includes standard setup, use of furniture (where available), access to bathrooms, and the surrounding grounds. Optional extras like theming, catering, and spa access can be added.

  • Absolutely. Many of our guests combine spaces (e.g. Abraham’s Barn + Eden for a garden reception). You can even book the entire estate for exclusive use.

  • Some areas are accessible, including the main house and select garden paths. Please contact us in advance to discuss specific accessibility needs.

  • We welcome well-behaved dogs in our outdoor spaces by prior arrangement.

  • For peak dates (summer weekends, holidays), we recommend booking 3–6 months in advance. For weekday or off-season events, we’re more flexible.
